Cascade Crest Tour Doesn't Disappoint (Again)

FasterSkier · March 29, 2004

Cascade Crest Tour 25k/15k freestyle race put on my Mt Bachelor Ski
Education Foundation at Mt Bachelor Nordic Center is the classic season
finale for Pacific Northwest skiers. The challenging course consists of
1000 feet of elevation loss and gain over two laps of twisty and rolling
course that runs through impressive old growth on the slope of Mt
Bachelor.

Cascade Crest Tour used to be the grand finale for ski racing in the
Pacific Northwest, but this year it is followed by John Craig Memorial
Classic 20k in Sister, OR on April 3. After that, though pure ski racing
ends, there is the Pole Pedal Paddle in Bend, OR, Ridge to River in
Wenatchee, WA and Ski to Sea in Bellingham, WA. Beyond that there is the
expansive backcountry of the Cascades and the steep white slopes of
numerous volcanoes populating that range.

In Pacific Northwest, skiing doesn't have to end before you want it to
end.
