Norwegian Eldar Ronning skied in to a new cross-country classic sprint record in a race in Kragero, Norway on Saturday. Ronning shattered the old record held by World Cup skier Trond Einar Elden by almost 2 seconds. The old record was 15.2 seconds and the new record is 13.38. The record was set in the semifinal. Ronning was unlucky and fell in the final. Borre Naess won the event.
