Borre Naess won a classic rollerski sprint on wooden surface at the harbor in Tonsberg, Norway on July 17. Numerous pole tip problems were reported on the roughly 500 meter long, straight forward and totally flat race course.
The field included all three Aukland brothers, Jens Arne Svartedal, Lars Christian Aabol Havard Skorstad, Borre Naess and Kristian Horntvedt. Thousands of summer tourists surrounded the course.
Havard Skorstad edged out Fredrik Aukland and Borre Naess beat Anders Aukland in the semi-finals. Borre Naess has done well in a number of sprint races this summer and beat Skorstad in the final.
