The Norwegian men’s team did not have a great day in the 4 x 10 kilometer World Cup relay in Gallivare on Sunday. A sixth place is way below expectations, and so were the performances in the individual race.

Odd-Bjorn Hjelmeset was the top Norwegian on Saturday in 8th place.

– The opening weekend wasn’t quite what we had hoped for. We had of course hoped to have skiers higher up on the result list. I hope that Jens Arne Svartedal starts to ski faster now that he has skied a few races. Frode and Odd-Bjorn are in good shape, but says that they are having a hard time skiing fast in cold conditions. Odd-Bjorn (Hjelmeset) was only 20 seconds from second place. Teichmann skied incredibly fast and no one could touch him in that race. But things can turn around, maybe already this upcoming weekend, says Soregard.
