FIS Marathon Cup Skiers Getting Ready To Duke It Out In La Sgambeda, Italy

The snow has been falling for two days in Livigno and more than 1000 skiers including some of the World’s best marathon skiers are entered for the upcoming La Sgambeda FIS ski marathon in Italy December 12. The race is a part of the FIS marathon Cup.

Many international skiers are already in the Spoel Valley preparing for the upcoming event.

 Here are some of the international skiers that have entered so far:

In the past weeks' the tourist board announced the official members of the long distance national teams enrolled in the 15th edition of La Sgambeda, such as Italy (Cristina Paluselli, Lara Peyrot, Gianantonio Zanetel, Roberto De Zolt, Silvio Fauner, Marco Cattaneo, Pierluigi Costantin and Ivan Margaroli),  Norway (Havard Skorstad, Rune Torseth and Anders Hallingstad), Sweden (Sofia Lind, Staffan Larsson, Henrik Eriksson and Mattias Svahn) and Spain (Juan Jesus Gutiérrez, Diego Ruiz e Vicenç Vilarrubla) and today the La Sgambeda starting list grows quickly with Russia, Switzerland and The Czech Republic.
