World Cup Sprint Warm-Up: Skaren Won In Luzern

Arve Skaren, Norway won a sprint race in Luzern Wednesday evening. The competition was good and included the entire German sprint team. Five Norwegian sprinters who will compete in this weekend's sprint World Cup race in Bern participated. Atle Skaren ended up beating everyone and could celebrate his victory at the town-square in Luzern.

– Arve is looking strong and skied well, said sprint coach Ulf Morten Aune, and reported good atmosphere for this FIS race:

– The course was short and narrow with 5-6000 spectators and went around the culture building and made for a great experience, said Aune.

Johan Kjolstad won the B-final. He and Trond Iversen crashed and ruined each other’s race in the semi-final.

Borre Naess fell in the prolog and did not advance. John Christian Dahl did not advance either.
