The pre-Olympics in Pragelato, Italy are conflicting with the Swedish team’s current prioritization on training and the Swedish Championships which are starting next Wednesday.
-We are following a plan towards Worlds and only the skiers which are currently training at altitude will compete in this weekend World Cup races in Pragelato, says national coach “Pekenâ€.
-It will be exciting to see how our sprinters who have spent considerable time at altitude up to this point will do in the team sprint. It will also be interesting to follow Mathias Fredriksson’s progress. He has trained very well the last couple of weeks and needs competitions in order to ski even faster, says “Pekenâ€.
The Swedish team to Pragelato:
Pursuit/Skiathlon Men’s: Mathias Fredriksson
Team Sprint Men’s: Thobias Fredriksson, Micke Ostberg, Bjorn Lind and Mats Larsson.
Team Sprint Women’s: Anna Dahlberg and Emelie Ohrstig.
