Tore Ruud Hofstad has trained well over Christmas and is hoping to keep up his fitness level for the World Championships in Oberstdorf.

Ruud Hofstad went back to his hometown of Hurdal for the first days of Christmas. He was in Sjusjoen to train.

-I tried to train well. It is a high volume block that is very important. I’m feeling good and trying to keep my fitness up for the World Championships in a month and a half, says Ruud Hofstad.

For both Christmas Eve and Christmas day it was Christmas food that was on the menu.

Ruud Hofstad feels Christmas is a great time of the year.

-It goes by very fast. I was away in other parts of Europe for much of December so when I arrived home it was suddenly Christmas. But it is really nice and it is also good to get to be with the family, he says.

He was also satisfied with his Christmas presents.

-I got what I asked for. Good gifts, says Ruud Hofstad.

For the New Year he doesn’t have any strong wishes.

-It depends on what you are thinking about, he says. —There are a lot of crazy things going on in the world. What we do seems insignificant when you look at what is going on in Asia. I haven’t made any wishes for myself.
