Mathias Fredriksson was the best Swede in 19th place in Saturday’s 15-kilometer freestyle World Cup race in Reit im Winkl, Germany only five days before the start of the World Championship. Anders Sodergren was second best with a 26th place. The race was surprisingly won by Martin Bajcicak who won in dominating style to Giorgio Di Centa of Italy in second and Christian Hoffman of Austria in third. Former Austrian Nordic combined coach Roland Diethard was fifth.
