Kris Freeman Prepares For World Championships

FasterSkierFebruary 2, 2005

What have you been up to the last month?

I flew back to Europe on January 12th and drove up
to the Olympic courses in Pregelato Italy. I am
feeling very strong despite the poor result in the
pursuit at the last world cup. My entire team had
terrible classic skis in that race. The wax team
simply blew the wax. They admitted it and took full
responsibility for it. The conditions changed right
before the race and left us with slick, slow classic
skis. I had the worst wax in comparison to a world
cup field that I have ever had.

Since the race I have been training in Rupholding
Germany.

What have you been thinking about?
I am looking forward to World Championships. I have
been in great shape all season but I have not been
able to show it yet.

What are your plans to get ready for World Champs?
I am doing very little volume and a lot of
intervals. I am also sleeping a lot.

What are your goals at World Champs?
I want a medal.

What is your plan for the rest of the season after World Champs?
I will go to Scandanavia and and finish
the world cup tour. I am also considering racing at
Spring Series.
