Christina Paluselli of Italy won her second FIS Marathon World Cup race in a row, the Marcialonga, using SOLDA glide wax. Here is information on what wax combination she used, other wax reports and wax tips for a number of races around the country coming up this weekend the rest of the season.
Christina Paluselli of Italy won the Sunday’s Marcialonga 70-kilometer FIS Marathon by more than 3 minutes to second place and more than 23 minutes to third. The air temperature was roughly -11 Celsius and the snow temperature was -14 Celsius. The humidity was 67% and it was clear and sunny.
Paluselli used SOLDA HPO5 Powder heated in over a layer of SOLDA F-31 Blue. – The HPO5 was extremely durable and fast, great skis was her comment after the race.

<p><B>Teton Ridge 28-kilometer classic race Driggs, Idaho, January 15:</B><br />
First place overall women, Kelly Milligan. Conditions: Single digit in the morning and in the teens during the race. Wax: SOLDA F-15 Blue as base covered with SOLDA S30. Great skis!</p>
<p><I>– I skied with 3 men and they couldn’t pull away from me in the rolling double pole since my skis were faster. Being able to ski with them definitely made the hour and one half go by faster, said Kelly Milligan</I></p>
<p><B>What we have learned:</B><br />
The PowerJet waxes are great! We always have great skis when we use 1, 2 or 5 in moist snow. They are super durable and extremely economical Nothing is faster!</p>
<p>PowerJet 4 has become a favorite wax in the 15-30 Fahrenheit range when it’s not enough moisture/humidity for HPO5 or our other fluorocarbons. We use it a lot!</p>
