March 23, 2005, 1st Annual Banknorth Maine Nordic Sprint Championships Deering Oaks Park, Portland, ME
Event Info: The action will get under way with qualifying at 4PM. The top qualifiers will compete in the “Elite Heats” from 6:00 to 6:30 followed by heats for all ages from 6:45 to 8:30. All events will take place on a 1K course in Deering Oaks Park in the city of Portland. The park is centrally located and visible to major highway I295.
The event is presented by Peak Performance Sports, Coastal Nordic Ski Club, Portland Ski Club, Cape Nordic Ski Club, the City of Portland, and NENSA. $250 for overall winners, $100 for 2nd place. Lots of fun for everyone!
Registration: $10 on Skireg.com or at Peak Performance Sports in Portland. All registrations due March 22nd by 7PM. No day of race registration.
