Season Finale Relay — Finland Dusts Norway and Russia

The Finnish team of Aino Kaisa Saarinen, Kirsi Vaelimaa, Riitta Liissa Lassila and ex-doping-convict Virpi Kuitunen, took control of the women's 4 x 5km relay to win the last World Cup race of the year in Falun Sweden. The Finns were leading by 16.5 seconds at the finish.

With Marit Bjoergen on the anchor leg, Norway sprinted to second ahead of Russia with Julija Tchepalova. Italy was fourth, about 41 seconds behind Russia. No North American teams were entered.
