This past weekend was a great one for Fischer both internationally and domestically. With the final World Cup races of the season in Falun, Sweden both individual race champions and Overall World Cup champions were to be crowned. In Saturdays individual pursuit race, Fischer athlete Eugeni Dementiev of Russia won the mass sprint to capture his first world cup victory. Further back in the lead pack, Germanys Axel Teichmann finished 7th to secure the 2004-2005 Overall World Cup title.
 won the US National 50km Championships in a three way sprint, while Fischer athlete, Abigail Larson (Subaru Factory Team) won the US National 30km Championships, and sealed her spot as overall winner of the American Marathon Series. Subaru Factory team athlete, Dave Stewart, skiing on Fischer won the mens AMS title.</p>
<p>FIS North American Marathon Cup winners were also crowned this weekend. Subaru Factory Team athletes Ivan Babikov and Abigail Larson won this first ever four race series.<br />
