US Cross Country Ski Team Coaches and a selection of some of the nation’s best coaches will be presenting a 3-day coaching symposium at the US Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY September 23-25, 2005. A Summit on the topic of the Coaching Education Curriculum is open to all and will take place Saturday, Sept. 24th. The coaching symposium will cover topics on technique, training theory and discuss USST’s latest thoughts as well as providing useful tools and guidelines for coaching skiers at all levels, ages and abilities.

The Summit on a Coaching Education Curriculum will present a summary of available coaches’ education materials from around the world and discuss what is needed to implement a comprehensive, high-quality national coaching curriculum and coaching certification system. Coaches are encouraged to contribute their ideas and opinions about what a national curriculum should be and how we can create it.

All proceeds will go toward developing the national coaching curriculum.

Cost:

Includes 2 nights accommodation at the US Olympic Training Center for first 100 registrants, meals, symposium materials and swag.
$150 if registered before 8/23/2005
