Saturday's World Cup in Beitostolen, Norway showed that last year's overall winner Marit Bjorgen is still the one to beat, at any distance and any technique. This despite the fact that she had not been on snow in three weeks prior to this week. Saturday's was a 10km classic for the women, with Finland's Virpi Kuitunen and Russia's Natalia Baranova rounding out the podium. The other main favorites, Kristina Smigun and Katerina Neumanova was far behind.
