Swedish distance skiers have struggled in the World Cup this season and former Olympic and World Champion Thomas Alsgaard of Norway has now been given the main responsibility for coaching the Swedish all-around skiers.

Head coach Inge Braten has brought Alsgaard along to some of the camps and races but Thomas has now been given the full responsibility for the rest of the season.

– We have made some changes and decided to divide the team in three groups. I have been given the responsibility for the all-round skiers, says Alsgaard.

He spent Christmas and New Years weekend training with Anders Sodergren
