After four weeks of absence, Marit Bjoergen of Norway will return to the “VIESSMANN” FIS World Cup Cross-Country this weekend in Otepää (EST). The current World Cup leader will participate in both competitions and will try to repeat her victory from last year in the 10 km classic race.
17 nations will be taking part in the World Cup competitions in the small Southern Estonian town of Otepää, known for its enthusiastic crowds and great atmosphere. For most athletes, these races represent the last possibility to qualify for the Olympic Winter Games in Turin in the classical style.

As a premiere in Otepää, a Sprint competition will be staged; last year’s race had to be cancelled due to inclement weather. This weekend marks the 6th World Cup weekend in Otepää and more than 10.000 spectators are expected on each competition day.

Time Schedule Otepää:
Saturday, 07.01 10 km C (women) start: 09:30h (CET)
Saturday, 07.01 15 km C (men) start: 11:00h (CET)
Sunday, 08.01 Sprint C (women/men) start: 10:15h (CET)
