Fischer introduces the lightest racing ski in the world, the RCS Carbonlite. Available in both Skating and Classic models, the new Carbonlite weighs in under 1000 grams (187L/SK and 197L/ CL) and was developed with feedback with finest racers in the world. The ski was first utilized at the 2005 World Championships in Obersdorft Germany with great success — capturing a Gold medal in the 50k Classic.

The wood sidewalls of the ski have been reduced and replaced with AirCore laminates to achieve the following benefits; dropping the overall weight of the core, and increasing torsional rigidity of the ski up to 20% while still retaining the same smooth longitudinal flex.
