Have Your Best Birkie Ever With SOLDA Glide Wax

Top and base layer suggestions for the 2006 Birkie: Try SOLDA Glide wax if you wish that you had faster skis in last years Birkie or other races. SOLDA Top And Base Layer Suggestions:
Cold and very dry snow: SOLDA S30 OR S20 — base of F15 Blue
Cold and medium cold snow with low to high humidity: SOLDA HPO5 or HPO5/S30 mix — base of F15, F-31 or F40 depending upon degree of humidity/moisture.
Frozen snow that’s warming up and plain warm snow conditions: SOLDA PowerJet (2, 1 or 5) or SOLDA Warm Fluor powder — base of F40 or F31

SOLDA HPO5/S30 mix waxes are SUPER for cold snow and were successfully used during the Canadian World Cup races in December. They are very easy to apply and have quickly become “must have” waxes for anyone racing in cold conditions. The new F40 Top race is a super fast fluor wax which can be used as underlayer or toplayer. Recent wax combinations used to win high level races are posted below.

Conditions: Air temperature -12 Celsius (10 Fahrenheit), snow temperature at the start -16 Celsius. Snow type: new/lightly transformed. Humidity 50%
Paluselli’s skis: SOLDA F-15 Violet as base, then one layer of SOLDA S20 covered by SOLDA HPO5 Fluor.
Other notables: Roberto de Zolt had waxed with the same SOLDA combination as Paluselli and was leading the men’s race from the start until he fell 10-meters from the finish (and ended up 6th)!
