Cross-Country World Cup races in La Clusaz are confirmed

December 7th, 2006 – The Viessmann FIS Cross-Country World Cup events in La Clusaz (FRA) will take place as planned with Distance races over 15 km (ladies) and 30 km (men) in the free technique on Saturday, 16th December, and relay competitions, 4x5km (ladies) and 4x10km (men), on Sunday, 17th December. The hometown of the 2005 World Champion, Vincent Vittoz, will organize a Cross-Country World Cup weekend for the third time. The plateau ‘Les Confins,’ which is situated approx. 5 km from the center of La Clusaz, lies in an altitude of 1’450 m. The distance races in La Clusaz will also entail the first trial for nations’ feeding boxes that are supposed to improve the security of the athletes.
