Moving forward…

Dear FasterSkier.com readers,

Earlier this week we posted a letter from Cory Smith and Torbjorn Karlsen announcing the sale of FasterSkier.com. We are happy to present you with the other side of the equation! As Cory mentioned, we have been running the site for well over a month now, learning the ropes and preparing for winter.

First I would like to thank Cory and Torbjorn for the all the hard work they have put in over the last six years. They recognized the need for FasterSkier.com and created a website that has become THE source for English-language cross-country skiing news and content. Over the years, FasterSkier.com has become an integral part of the national cross-country community.

I have been working with Hunter and Matt for the past six years designing and building websites. Between the three of us, we have over 30 years of ski-racing experience, coached in various locations around the country, and traveled the world to ski. We love the challenges that the sport poses, and the life-style it promotes. FasterSkier.com is an exciting new venture for us — one that combines our passion for skiing with our skills in website design.

Our primary goal is to continue the work that Cory and Torbjorn began — to provide timely, high-quality news coverage, interesting articles, and a forum for the discussion of issues involving the sport we all love. They set a high standard, and we are excited to step up and meet it.

Additionally, we will be working to expand and grow the site. As winter approaches, you will begin to see changes — some will be cosmetic, and some will involve the addition of new features and tools. Rest assured, you can still count on FasterSkier.com to provide the content and coverage that you have come to expect.

We are interested to hear your thoughts on how FasterSkier.com can better serve the skiing community. Let us know what you would like to see more of, less of, or on the site for the first time. New features or article ideas? Just drop us an email — info@fasterskier.com.

We will be attending many ski events around the country and look forward to seeing you on the trails!

Sincerely,
Topher Sabot
