Sweden Wins Women's Team Sprint in Dusseldorf

Editor's Note: The original results posted on the FIS website were incorrect. The top five teams are the same as originally reported, but Norway 1 and Switzerland 1 finished 6th and 7th respectively. The standings below have been updated to reflect the correct results. Thanks to reader Nils Koons for pointing out the erroe.

Sweden's second team of young Charlotte Kalla and Britta Norgren won today's Team Sprint in Dusseldorf, Germany. The Russian team of Natalia Korosteleva and yesterday's individual sprint winner Natalia Mateeva fnished second, 1.5 seconds back. Finland took the bronze behind defending World Cup Champion Virpi Kuitenen and Piro Muranen.

The Swedes moved into the top position after the third leg and didn't relinquish it, opening up a small gap at the finish.
