Bjoergen Strong Again in Beitostolen

Norweigan star Marit Bjoergen won her third consecutive race in Beitostolen, Norway. Bjoergen followed up victories in the individual sprint and the 10km skate by pacing the field in Sunday's 5km classic race. Vibeke Skofterud finished second, 14.3 seconds back, Therese Johaug was third and Slovenian Petra Majdic took the fourth spot.

In the men's 10km classic, Martin Sundby edged Odd-Bjorn Hjemeleset by 3.6 seconds, with Simen Østensen in third. Italy's Pietro Piller Cotrer was the top non-NOrweigan in 5th, just behind Jens Arne Svartedal. Sundby's top World Cup finish last year was a 25th in La Clusaz, France and had a 5th in the U23 Championships in Travisio, Italy.

Both races featured strong international contingents from Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia and Slovakia.
