Mansfield Nordic Club Seeking Head Coach

FasterSkierMay 23, 2008

The Mansfield Nordic Club is seeking an experienced coach for a year ‘round training program. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take charge of a previously all volunteer program and build a strong training/racing club. A charismatic personality and entrepreneurial spirit are a must, as this position offers full autonomy to innovate, create and build.

MNC has BKSL, Junior and Masters programs that have thrived individually for many years with volunteer organizers. All have room to grow significantly with a paid director/head coach who will provide energetic promotion and leadership. MNC is centered in the Underhill/Jericho communities in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont, near Burlington. Our training locations include the National Guard biathlon facility in Jericho with a world-class trail system and 5k paved, lighted roller ski loop, local Nordic centers including Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe and Bolton Valley, and beautiful trails in the surrounding mountains.

This new position will be a combination of several coaching situations that have been linked in past years by community volunteers, parents and paid part-time coaches. This position will give a coach plenty of freedom and autonomy to create as extensive a program as energy and creativity allow.
