Biathletes Bill Bowler and Tracy Barnes skied to victory in the 12km Ethan Allen Range Roll – part of the NENSA summer rollerski series. Bowler edged Matt Delaney by 11 seconds – thogh Delaney and third place finisher David Macahill were not skiing on NENSA's matched skis, keeping both off the “official” podium.
The women's race was extremely tight, with World Cup biathlete Barnes taking the victory by a mere 1.7 seconds over Jennifer Wygant. Beth Ann Chamberlain was third, just under thiry seconds back.
NENSA's Janice Sibilia reports on the race:
Today Mother Nature was kind the sun was out for most of the race, the roller ski track began to dry out and the athletes were able to charge hard around the course.

For some it was the final effort in a week long biathlon camp taking place at the Ethan Allen Firing Range. Their effort was no less diminished however, despite this being their 3rd race in 5 days. For others it was a chance to test themselves against their peers and have an opportunity to put on a bib and toe the start line.
