The sixth FIS Youth and Children’s Seminar will be held in Zurich (SUI) in conjunction with the FIS Autumn Committee and other meetings. Following positive feedback on the fifth edition of the Seminar in 2007, the 2008 Seminar will again take advantage of the presence of the many National Ski Association experts in Zurich. It will be held on Wednesday 1st October with a pre-seminar networking evening on Tuesday, before most of the Technical Committees’ meetings get underway.
The 2008 Seminar will focus on reviewing and collecting feedback on the plans for the FIS “Bring Children to the Snow†campaign. Along with afternoon working group sessions and a campaign status review, the presentations will include recent findings from a survey conducted among the young generations, perspectives of the ski industry and national examples of successful past projects.
The FIS Autumn meetings will kick off at the Hotel Hilton Zurich Airport with some workshops and TD seminars on Tuesday. More than 400 hours of informal and formal meetings of the FIS Committees and Sub-Committees will be held in the course of the next week until Monday 6th October when the innaugural FIS World Championships Organizers’ Seminar will take place.
