CU to Host 2010 NCAA Skiing Championship

The NCAA Skiing Championships are set to return to Colorado as the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Skiing Committee selected the University of Colorado to host the 2010 NCAA Championships, the national office announced Wednesday.

“The University of Colorado is excited and honored to bring the NCAA Skiing Championships back to Colorado,” said CU Athletic Director Mike Bohn. “This is another great opportunity for the University and the state of Colorado to demonstrate the commitment to the sport of skiing. We look forward to hosting the championships and providing a first-class experience for all the other universities and student- athletes who will be participating.”

The championships will be held March 10-13, 2010 in Steamboat Springs, with the classical and freestyle nordic races, as well as slalom being decided on Howelson Hill and the giant slalom on Mount Werner.
