UAF Launches FasterSkier Blog

FasterSkierOctober 2, 2008

The University of Alaska Fairbanks has joined the FasterSkier blogroll. With three individual NCAA national champions and over 15 NCAA All Americans in the past five seasons, UAF has established itself as one of the top Nordic ski programs in the country. Last season UAF skier Marius Korthauer claimed the NCAA title in the 20km classic and finished second in the 10km freestyle. He was also named the FasterSkier Collegiate Male Skier of the Year.

Writes Nanooks' Head Coach Scott Jerome, “This blog will give FasterSkier.com readers a look inside Alaska Nanooks’ training, racing, and studies with written reports, photos, and video. The blog might also dispel some of the myths about Fairbanks ('It’s too cold in Fairbanks to get fast', 'They train indoors all winter', 'Those kids never go to school').”

UAF joins the University of Utah in bringing the collegiate perspective to the FasterSkier blogs. Jerome has already posted three times, so check back often for updates!
