Pinkham Notch, NH — On Sunday, February 8, 2009, Great Glen Trails will host the Great Glen Nordic 300, a five-hour Nordic ski race. Competitors race solo or in teams with the goal of completing as many laps of the 5-kilometer course as possible within the 300-minute time limit.

Patterned after Great Glen Trails’ signature summer event the 24 Hours of Great Glen—a 24-hour mountain bike race—the Great Glen Nordic 300 is designed to be a true test of Nordic skiing endurance. Skiers test themselves for 300 minutes on a 5-kilometer course either solo or as a team. Teams can be of mixed age and gender, and teams can use either skate or classic technique. Prizes will be awarded in each category.

The Great Glen Nordic 300 starts at 10:00am.
