First off, Rossignol is feeling the economic crunch harder than most winter sport companies and will be cutting not only jobs (approximately 30% of their work force), but also cutting wages of the athletes that currently use their equipment. Notable cross country athletes include Kuitunen, Saarinen, Hjelmeset.

The “Skiippagurra” video which featured the Norwegian ladies team including Johaug and Størmer Steira now has a sequel. The newest video was filmed while the Norwegian ski team had a team building weekend in Trysil.
Finally, Petter Northug is not the only Norwegian cross country star playing soccer in the off season. The soon-to-be Norwegian superstar Ingvild Flugstad Østberg will be playing soccer for her local ladies team Gjøvik FK.
