The sensation is complete: after unusually high numbers of entries had been flowing in since September, exactly three months before the scheduled race date (31st January), the entries were closed for the 2010 Marcialonga on 30th October.

There are now 6’000 entries for the 70 km race and 450 for the 45 km race. Traditionally the most entries have come from Italy and Scandinavia and again more than 2,000 Norwegian and more than 1,000 Swedish skiers will be racing in Trentino.

The 37th edition of Marcialonga will officially open on Friday 29th January in Canazei, whilst Saturday the Mini-Marcialonga for children and the Marcialonga for VIPs & guests will serve as build up for the main event on Sunday 31st January 2010.

Marcialonga is one of the ten races making up the 2009/2010 FIS Marathon Cup and also belongs to the Worldloppet and Euroloppet circuits. For more information, visit www.marcialonga.it
