Host club Bridger Ski Foundation has posted the start list as well as the course map for tomorrow’s sprint race on their website. The course is in downtown Bozeman at Lindley Park, and is relatively unrelenting with winding turns and few big climbs at high altitude.
The clouds rolled in today about 2pm after a cold bluebird week. New snow is expected for tonight through Sunday and the good ol’ weatherman is saying this is going to be the coldest week of the year, with the absolute coldest point falling sometime Monday. Word on the street is that a clerical error has lead to the general lack of a warming hut, so most skiers should be looking forward to a day of jogging and jumping around in the falling snow to keep warm between heats.
This is warmly-received news after most teams experienced temperatures below -25F in West Yellowstone the last few days, when that high altitude resort town was the coldest spot in the country.
Make sure to fill up the vans kids, it’s gonna be a cold one. Hot tea for you today? Anchorage blend?
