3/6/75 – 1975 Jr. Nationals. Besides the trademark 70?s drool, this picture shows Fischer fiberglass skis the first year they were available in the US, Lilljedahl aluminum poles (graphite poles would arrive the next year) and Suveren leather boots with fancy Bergens plastic bindings. Don?t look too close, but the Eastern Ski Association one piece Odlo suit does not have a zipper in front. I didn?t realize I had been given a girls suit until I got to JNs. So, perhaps this is the only time a cross-dressing guy has won the JNs?! ;-) Photo: Tim Kelley.
