While snow is being helicoptered in to Cypress for the Olympics, just five hours north-east of Vancouver skiers at Sovereign Lake are skiing in ideal conditions.
The Olympic teams that were using Sovereign to prepare for the Olympics have now moved on and Sovereign Lake is setting up for it’s Masters Camp taking place on Feb 13th and 14th.
“We offer advanced instruction in our camps at Sovereign as we have our own Olympian at Sovereign Lake, Darren Derochie, who is now our head coach,” said Scott Lemon, manager of Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre.
“The sky is blue, the weather is great, and the snow is fast.”
Those interested in registering for the camps or skiing at Sovereign Lake can visit the website at www.sovereignlake.com.
Sovereign Lake is located 22km from Vernon, B.C. Canada.
