The Mansfield Nordic Club of Jericho, Vt, is seeking an experienced coach for the 2010-2011 racing season. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take charge of a previously all-volunteer program and build a strong training/racing club.
Primary job responsibility would be to develop a year ‘round program for 6-8 experienced Junior skiers who have a goal of JO and college racing. Important skills include creating individualized training plans, motivating athletes to highest potential, logistics, strategy and waxing at races. Directing and/or coaching Masters and Bill Koch program could increase compensation.
Position Details:
- September-March
- 2-3 trainings per week
- Provide full race support at JOQs
- Lead athletes in Thanksgiving camp and other on-snow training opportunities
- Salary depending on level of experience and job responsibilities
- Flexibility to combine this position with other job/internship
