Swix US Announces Three New Appointments

The Winning Margin from Swix expands expertise, service and communication to comprehensively meet the needs of Nordic enthusiasts.

Wilmington, MA – Swix US announced today the appointment of Chris Hall to the position of Swix US Nordic Racing Services Director.  To Swix US Hall brings World Cup waxing and service expertise that he will now share with Nordic racing enthusiasts nationwide.

From 2000-2006 Chris was the US Ski Team’s Cross Country Head Service Technician.  During that time he led the service team at two Winter Olympics (2002 in Soldier Hollow and 2006 in Torino), three World Championships (2001 in Lahti, 2003 in Val Di Fiemme, and 2005 in Obersdorf) and over 75 World Cup events. Hall will continue to direct and serve as Fischer Skis USA Nordic Racing Director in addition to his new position with Swix.

“I am excited to be a part of the winning margin at Swix.  From my years on the World Cup, I have seen first hand the methodical and thorough approach Swix takes with the research and testing of its industry leading products,” states Hall.  “My goal is to follow the same methods and techniques used by Swix’s World Cup racing service to educate and service all US athletes, teams, and retailers alike so that everyone understands and is comfortable using the comprehensive Swix wax and tool line. ”

In addition, Andrew Gelinas will serve in the new created position as Swix’s New England Nordic Specialist.  Gelinas has three years of World Cup waxing experience working for the US Nordic Combined team.  Andrew will focus on delivering educational clinics for retailers, Nordic centers, teams and skiers in New England and Upper New York state so that everyone will have the opportunity to further enjoy their skiing experiences and grow their knowledge of Swix products. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to share my waxing insights to everyone in the East,” said Gelinas.  “Swix makes the highest quality products for every skier, whether it be a racer searching for podium results or Nordic enthusiasts looking to enjoy their time on snow.”

Endurance Enterprises will assume the role of Swix’s Nordic Communicator and will share the knowledge and stories from Swix’s US racing service staff and its product line to all Nordic skiers, teams, centers and retailers.  Swix’s communication will continue via SwixSport.comSwixRacing.US, FasterSkier, SkinnySki, SkiTrax, SkiPost as well as the newly created SwixNordic social media channels on Facebook and Twitter.
