NOVÉ MĚSTO NA MORAVĚ, Czech Republic – Tora Berger of Norway took home the sixth World Championships title of her career in Sunday’s 10 k pursuit, which wasn’t all that surprising – the current World Cup leader started just six seconds out of the lead. But the rest of the race was more interesting – she lost the lead after the second shooting stage and didn’t regain it until the last lap. Then, Olga Zaitseva of Russia and Ann Kristin Flatland of Norway crashed, allowing Krystyna Palka of Poland and Olena Pidhrushna of Ukraine to snag the final medals.
