At the Maine Winter Sports Center we offer world-class facilities, programming and coaching designed to help athletes achieve their dreams. We are currently accepting applications to our Olympic Development, Regional Elite, Post-Graduate and Junior Racing Teams. Come train alongside U.S. Ski Team member Kris Freeman and U.S. Biathlon Team members Russell Currier and Annelies Cook and find out where skiing can take you.
Olympic Development Team and Regional Elite Team members receive coaching, physiological assessment, housing, health insurance domestic and international travel expenses, massage, yoga, rehab services and a limited meal plan. Community service is options include coaching, facilities development, year-round healthy lifestyles programming, media outreach and website maintenance. Part-time work placement is available.
Post-Graduate Program participants enjoy many of the same benefits as the ODT, while gaining valuable college credits and developing their skiing knowledge base. Athletes work daily with MWSC coaches and spend more than 30 days at training camps. PG Program includes housing, limited meal plan, all regional travel and training camps, physiological testing, yoga, uniforms and access to team equipment ordering. Program fees for the year (including college tuition) total roughly $7,000. Financial Aid is available.
Junior Racing Team members receive individualized year-long training plans aimed at long term development. Team members attend 25 days of training camp, participate in NENSA Eastern Cup or USBA NorAm Regional circuit, receive daily training plans from the MWSC Staff and are invited to all MWSC affiliated practices. Program fees for the year (including all regional travel, room and board on trips and camps) are $2,500. Financial Aid is available.
