Dear Friends of Maine Winter Sports Center,

Our on-line auction ends on November 28th, the day after Thanksgiving, and I hope everyone will get a chance to check it out. We have some once-in-a-lifetime items like the night with NHL Hall-of-Famer, Ray Bourque. It starts with dinner at his restaurant in the North End of Boston and finishes with a Bruins game at his luxury suite at the TD Garden. We also have $25,000 worth of leadership and talent development consulting from internationally respected Osprey Leadership Consulting. Then there is the Biathlon Fantasy Camp at the 10th Mountain Center in Fort Kent, a chance to get coaching from our Olympic Development staff and athletes, a catered lunch and two nights at the Inn of Acadia, northern Maine’s newest luxury inn. There are also pieces of apparel, beautiful art, gear and vacations.

100% of the proceeds will go to support our Olympic Development Team athletes. These are remarkable young women and men who have come to our program knowing that we are looking for athletes for whom skiing fast and shooting straight isn’t enough. We are looking for athletes who understand that they will be asked to give a lot of themselves to making a difference in Maine’s rural communities as well.

The Maine Winter Sports Center has the funding to support these athlete’s racing and training in North America, but they are a truly gifted team and a number of them will certainly qualify for World Championships, World Junior Championships and World Cups in biathlon or cross country skiing. Please help ensure that if they qualify they can go.
