Crested Butte: The 29th Annual Alley Loop

The 29th Annual Alley Loop presented by Western State Colorado University will take place on Saturday, February 7th.  Part of the American Ski Marathon Series and an American Birkebeiner qualifying race, the event is also Crested Butte’s largest costume party.  The Alley Loop’s unique course starts and finishes in the heart of downtown Crested Butte, and in between, meanders through snow-lined alleys, behind false-fronted stores and restaurants, over footbridges and alongside residences. The longer courses then head out into the pristine outskirts of Crested Butte and Magic Meadows.  In addition to the fun races for all ages and abilities, the event also features a Friday night Fat Bike Race and Pub-Ski as well as an awards party on Saturday evening.  Discounted early registration is available at cbnordic.org
