Kikkan Randall will appear at the American Birkebeiner Expo on behalf of Fischer Sports. Visit the three time sprint World Cup Overall winner, America’s most consistent skier amidst the country’s largest race. The “Fully Fischer” (boots and skis) athlete is out of World Cup competition for the 2015/2016 season, taking time in order to have a child. As a result, Kikkan is taking advantage of the unique ability to visit some of skiing’s larger events. “It’s a rare deal to have a year without World Championships, a year where she isn’t competing and to have Kikkan at the Birkie amidst so many skiers is just a great thing,” described USSA’s Tom Kelly. Randall has been a Fischer athlete for the entirety of her career. Her race equipment will be on display at the Birkie expo. “An athlete like Kikkan is a very big deal,” described Fischer’s Steve Reeder. “We couldn’t be more proud to host her at the country’s largest ski race.”
Kikkan will partake of a number of Birkie events, including a poster signing from 4:00PM to 4:30PM on February 19th at the Fischer booth amidst the industry expo. The expo is held at the Hayward High School in the days leading up to the race, which is held on Saturday.
