Cross Country Canada Nominates 2017/2018 Team

On Friday, Cross Country Canada (CCC) released its national-team nominations for the 2017/2018 season. The senior team includes 14 athletes, just one of which is a newcomer: 19-year-old Gareth Williams, who was on the junior national team last season.

In an Olympic year, Jess Cockney and Knute Johnsgaard made the jump up to A-team status, joining three other men (Alex Harvey, Len Valjas and Devon Kershaw), four were nominated to the B-team, and another five (including Williams) made the U25 (Under-25) Team.

The Para-Nordic Ski Team expanded from four official team members last year to 11 this year. Joining Brittany Hudak, Mark Arendz, Chris Klebl, Brian McKeever and his guide Graham Nishikawa on the World Cup Team are Collin Cameron and Emily Young (formerly Weekes).
