Clarkson University Seeks Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Nordic Ski Coach

The department of Athletics and Recreation at Clarkson University invites applicants to apply for the 10 month full time position of Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Nordic Ski coach. The men’s and women’s cross country program competes at the NCAA Division III level and is a member of the Liberty League. The men’s and women’s Nordic ski teams compete in the ECSC division of the USCSA. A successful coach for Clarkson will provide effective leadership in each of the following areas: recruiting, teaching, coaching, counseling, marketing, alumni relations, fund raising, sport administration, and other duties as assigned. It will be necessary to prioritize and balance these activities in a manner that best promotes and advances both Cross Country and Nordic Ski within all Clarkson University, Liberty League, USCSA and NCAA rules and regulations.

Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor Degree and coaching experience in the sport of cross country and nordic skiing. Demonstrated commitment to furthering the goals and objectives of both, the University and Athletics Department, ability to successfully recruit quality student-athletes, understand the role of the student-athlete in a competitive academic/athletic environment, and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to a variety of constituency groups. Knowledge of the NCAA Division III rules and regulations.
