FasterSkier Calendar Allows User Events

FasterSkierApril 2, 2009

One of the best features of the old FasterSkier calendar was that it allowed FasterSkier readers to post their own events.  The new calendar also offers this functionality, and offers some more options.  You can now provide a more detailed description of your event, as well as input more criteria to help people find it.

The FasterSkier calendar has been one of the most robust on the web – it is a great resource – and that is thanks to all the event organizers and readers who take the time to post their events.  We hope you will continue to do so.

To post an event, you must have an active FasterSkier account.  Go to:

http://fasterskier.com/wp-login.php

The login can be found on any article page on the lower left.

Here you can login, or if you don’t have an account, can register for one.  If you have an account, but can’t remember your password, there is also a link to help you recover it.

Once you login, you will be taken to the admin section.  There is a link on the left titled “FasterSkier Event” – select this, and you are all set.  Enter your title, description, and details.  You then need to add the date and time in the “Event Editor” box at the bottom.

Don’t forget to categorize your event using the categories on the left – you can choose the geographic region here.

The system is not foolproof at this point – we are still working to simplify it, so if you have problems, feel free to contact us.
