Editor’s Note: Flying Point Road Photography raised $2,000 for NENSA through the sales of race photos from the 2008-2009 season. All proceeds of photo sales went to NENSA. While the campaign is regional, it is always good to share these type of success stories as others may find the ideas useful. The following is a letter from Steve Fuller of Flying Point Road.

If you have a chance, please take a minute to visit the New England Nordic Skiing Association’s website. (www.nensa.net) Thanks in large part to your generosity, you’ll see an announcement that photo sales on flyingpointroad.com have raised $2,000 for NENSA’s 2009 fund drive. On behalf of NENSA and myself, thank-you.
I know that most of you are familiar with NENSA’s work. If not, I encourage you to look around their site to get a sense as to the many things that this organization does to support skiing in New England. From the entry-level Bill Koch festival to coach’s education to Women’s Day to training camps for our most elite athletes — it’s safe to say that the many efforts of NENSA touch every level of nordic skiing in our region.
Most importantly of all, they do it on the “thinnest of shoestrings.” Through hard work and old fashioned yankee frugality, I can’t think of another group that does so very much with so very little. I also know that many of you have made donations to NENSA’s annual drive. Thank-you. But if you haven’t — I hope you’ll consider making a contribution. Whether it’s $20, $200 or $2,000, you’ll know that it’s going to a great organization.
