Audrey Leduc joins forces with Courons Gatineau

Gatineau Olympian to take part in September 28 event and becomes its spokesperson

 

The Courons Gatineau organizing committee is proud to announce that Gatineau-born Olympian Audrey Leduc will be the event’s official spokesperson. This partnership reflects a shared desire to promote physical activity and self-improvement in the Gatineau community.

Just back from the Paris Olympic Games, where she took part in the 100 m and 200 m events, as well as the 4 x 100 m relay, Audrey Leduc is an inspiration to many runners. Her determination, team spirit and passion for athletics makes her an ideal ambassador for Courons Gatineau. This year, Audrey shattered the 36-year-old Canadian 100 m record with a time of 10.95 seconds.She also holds the new Canadian record in the 200 m, which she also broke this year. What’s more, she helped Canada reach the final of the 4 x 100 relay, clocking a combined time of 42.50 seconds with her teammates and beating a national record dating back to 2015.

“I can’t wait to run and walk the 2 km to inspire theyounger ones, and I’m proud to be associated with this new promising event from my hometown,” says Audrey Leduc.

As spokesperson, Audrey will be present at the event site onSeptember 28. She will symbolically take part in the 2 km event, accompanied by the Mayor of Gatineau, Maude Marquis-Bissonnette, to encourage and inspire participants. An autograph session is also planned.

Herpresence will considerably raise the profile of our event, as well as the experience of participants and spectators. And what a great opportunity for theGatineau population to come and meet such an athlete as part of a public event!

Courons Gatineau will hold its first edition on September28, 2024. Organized by Gatineau Loppet, Courons Gatineau is also a tribute to the Outaouais’ majestic rivers. Hence its slogan: “From river to river”. Events of 2, 5 and 10 km will be presented on flat, fast courses that follow the banks of the Outaouais and Gatineau rivers, in the enchanting setting that marks the start of the fall color season.

Audrey Leduc’s collaboration brings fresh energy to her sport. In the same spirit, a foreign casino offers a diverse range of games and opportunities, catering to players seeking something new and international.
