As reported on FasterSkier, Unni Odegaard was recently involved in an accident in Norway. She was hit by car from behind while rollerskiing. She was in a coma for two days and is currently in the hospital recovering and waiting for the results of a CT scan.
Unni studied and ski raced for five years in the US, as a collegiate skier for the University of Colorado and also as a member of the Subaru Factory Team. Unni was well-liked in the North American ski scene and she made many friends during her time here.
We as a ski community would like to pass our best wishes on to Unni, and hope for her speedy recovery. Over the next few days, FasterSkier will collect well-wishings from our readers, which we will deliver to Unni. Even if you didn't know know Unni personally, perhaps you admired her skiing ability in a ski marathon or ski clinic.
