Fourth In A Row For Larsson?

The Swedish team for the sprint World Cup opener in Dusseldorf is ready. Peter Larsson is again selected. Will he capture his fourth victory in a row?

The Swedish A-team is currently at a training camp at 1800 meter in Livigno, Italy. Dryland training is now on the agenda, like on Monday when the team biked over four of the highest peaks you can bike up to in Europe. Among others up to Passo dello Stelvio, where the Swedes started their camp. This climb was also part of this years Giro d’Italia cycling race.

The World Cup opener in Dusseldorf, Germany is however only a month away. The organizer will again prepare an 800-meter long loop on the shores of the Volga River.

The Swedes is sending an experienced team including Peter Larsson. He has won three times in a row in Dusseldorf, which is the only place he has won World Cup races.

All three Swedish World Championship finalists on the women’s side will be racing. Emilie Ohrstig is feeling better and better. She along with Lina Anderson, Anna Dahlberg, Elin Ek and two-time medallist at last years junior Worlds should put up a good performance in the freestyle sprint and sprint relay early World Cup opener on October 22.
