Daniel Tynell and Elin Ek were the winners in the Konig Ludwig Lauf classic marathon on Sunday. Several Americans raced well in Saturday’s skate marathon.
Sunday’s FIS classic marathon
Daniel Tynell of Sweden won this weekend’s Konig Ludwig Lauf FIS marathon 0.2 seconds ahead of Stanislav Rezac (CZE). Jerry Ahrlin (SWE) was third 0.3 seconds out. Top American was Colin Quinn-Hurst in 76th place.
Elin Ek of Sweden won the women’s race 4 seconds ahead of Jenny Hansson (SWE). Lara Peyrot of Italy was third. Susan Hallenberg, USA was 29th.
Saturday’s skate marathon
Laurie Humbert of Salt Lake City was third in the women’s race.
Robert Douglas of Honeoye Falls, NY was 5th in the men’s race. FasterSkier.com contributors Meiko Hoemke of Germany was 32. and Dave Knoop of Park City, Utah was 45.
